Middleman

Middleman sits between the two all-star restaurants operated by the Boka group. The perfect place to grab a drink before dinner, or even hunker down for the evening.

Aside from trim and two server stations, our scope here really consisted of the bar. From top to bottom, we constructed this beauty conceived by AvroKO — starting with the CNC'd die wall, wrapped with bent laminations and CNC-cut hardwood. From there, we built a substrate for our stone to wrap around. And for the pièce de résistance, the bar atrium: we built it from laser-cut aluminum and bent aluminum tube, welded it in sections, lifted it into place with a spider crane, and finished welding onsite. 

A piece like this gets handed to our senior fabricators — it's poured over, it takes weeks, months to develop and bring to life. Critical measurements and engineering lead to printing parts that all fit together. This wasn't easy, but it did go as planned, and we're proud of that.
